OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced Researcher to join Syncron in its mission towards becoming market leaders in our industry, where we make enterprise solutions for some of the biggest names in the manufacturing sector.  As Senior User Experience Researcher, you will help our Product Teams to ensure we develop and deliver the best possible value to our customers and end users.  Daily, you will be collaborating with our global team of Designers, Researchers, Product Managers and internal customer stakeholders located in Sweden, India, Poland, US and other regions.

Your work will span the entire development cycle and help the products teams to make informed decisions about our users.  For example, we expect you to be able to support our Product Managers to construct and validate their longer-term product strategy with target customers. Not only that, on a daily basis we expect you to help the teams to understand our users’ journeys, needs and pain points as well as make recommendations on how to optimize them, and finally to lead the testing of ideas and prototypes with the design team.

You will utilize qualitative and quantitative methods and mix them to get the full understanding of the problem and provide best answers for your team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a UX researcher you will be responsible for:

  • Support the global Product Organization in understanding our users, their pains, needs to minimize risk in the product definition and delivery cycle
  • Move Support the product team in extracting the business processes from the research
  • Move Quickly learn the domain and industry to be an effective customer advocate
  • Conduct interviews with internal stakeholders as well as external users to validate and gather product requirements
  • Lead and analyze ethnographic research on site with end users (for example contextual inquiry)
  • Moderate usability and prototype testing with internal stakeholders and end users
  • Educate the Products organization on best methods and techniques for effectively and efficiently validating our requirements and concepts at different parts of the product development cycle
  • Contribute to Syncron’s overall research strategy
  • Organize and moderate cross-functional workshops,
  • Prioritize and effectively communicate the value of the findings to the entire company.
  • Collaborate effectively with other UX specialists (writers, researchers, and visual designers).

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 4 years in research.
  • Experience with working in B2B projects.
  • Extensive experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods (for example IDIs & Stakeholders interviews, Usability testing – online, remote and in-person, gathering UX metrics, ethnography).
  • Experience with organizing and moderating cross functional workshops for example Design Studio, Design Sprint, Customer Journey Mapping etc
  • Experience in working and collaborating closely with Product Teams.
  • Experience in working with agile software development will be a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting to different audiences including developers and management level.
  • Being independent in organizing your work, being able to effectively plan and execute research.
  • Being open minded, curious, and willing to learn the new field.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design.
  • Pragmatic approach.
  • Fluency in English in both oral and written communication is required.
  • Knowledge of German, Japanese or French is a plus.
