Responsibilities

• Design interaction models, user task flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant
• Design and maintain mockups and wireframes for our mobile and web apps
• Create and advance platform-wide style, copy and interface guidelines
• Transform conceptual ideas into useful and valuable product guidelines and contribute to high-level strategic decisions
• Work with Product Owners to collect and synthesize requirements and articulate into a coherent user need and an elegant user experience design
• Work with Engineering team to rapidly prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions
• Collaborate with other designers where overlap between product areas and features occur
• Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality as well as identify and communicate best practices for web & mobile front-end engineering

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of UX design or can demonstrate equivalent proficiency
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-caliber visual and interaction design work as well as compelling communication skills
• Knowledge of current methodologies and tools used in user-centered design as well as basic understanding of quantitative, behavioral analysis and statistical concepts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate design decisions
• The ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision (not just 'how it should look’ but 'what we should build’)
• Strong familiarity with UI conventions for major platforms (iOS, Android, mobile web, web)

Ideally

• Experience conducting user testing, analytical research and data-informed product development (A/B testing, log analysis, surveys, ethnographic field research, in-depth interviews, lab and remote usability testing, heuristic evaluations, card sorting)
• Understanding of responsive design for different screen sizes
• Experience in prototyping your work using front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS) is a huge plus
• Experience with version control software (we like Git)
• A good understanding and passion for Agile Development methodologies
