If you live and breathe the user experience, and love solving problems and thrive on variety, Spartez has a great opportunity for you. As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you’ll be working on Bamboo, a very popular build and deployment tool by Atlassian. You will be involved in early stage user research, ideation, interface design and iteration. Ultimately it’s about creating the best possible experience for our Bamboo users!

And because people love bullet point lists, here’s a list of the kinds of activities you’ll be doing regularly as part of this role:

• Plan and conduct exploratory user research and effective usability tests.
• Turn actionable insights into different concepts and low and high fidelity wireframes to facilitate feedback from your product team.
• Create pixel-perfect, highly innovative user interface designs, while interpreting and being informed by the Atlassian Design Guidelines.
• Work closely with product managers, engineering, and other stakeholders to prioritize product work according to the biggest positive impact for the user experience.
• Facilitate workshops with engineers and product management to establish project scope and potential solutions to solve the identified problems in the most impactful way.
• Proactively look for opportunities to improve workflows and user interfaces for Bamboo at all times.
• Improve design thinking of the whole product team by including other team members in the various design-related activities.

More about you:

We love designers who are eager to deliver across the entire design process, and not just one narrow aspect of it. You will need to be comfortable creating and designing user interfaces with a high level of refinement. We would love for you to have 5+ years of hands-on professional experience as a UX Designer or Interaction Designer. At least some experience with complex and professional web-based applications is a must. Your colleagues probably describe you as a self-starter with your eye constantly on solutions, and someone who can easily step into the customer’s shoes with the enthusiasm to create great experiences. You’ll also need strong facilitation and collaboration abilities, a flexible and friendly approach to working with teams, and the attitude to always strive for the best outcomes.

You’ll be joining a small but rapidly growing team of designers in the Spartez office in Gdansk. This small group, however, is part of the 130+ Atlassian Design team, working on key Atlassian products like JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket. You’ll be part of a multi-geo group of designers who work together to ship the best possible experiences with every release. We are constantly growing, learning, adapting and trying new things. You’ll be joining a team that is crazy smart and very direct. We challenge each other constantly to improve our work and ask hard questions. We’re dedicated to agile methodology and big believers in ‘lean UX’, which means we don’t do big deliverables for their own sake. We also know all too well the importance of validating assumptions about users and use various types of testing to prove ourselves right (or wrong). It’s all about improving our user’s experience—no matter who or where it is.

Remuneration: 
15 000 – 20 000 PLN gross/month
