As a member of our Warsaw R&D team, you will work on the user interface and visuals for desktop, web and mobile apps. The software will focus on helping hearing care professionals and patients with hearing loss to better fit a hearing aid in order to lead a more comfortable life. You will be working closely with UX Designers, acoustics experts and developers in order to provide intuitive UI for the software as well as easy to understand visuals that explain how a hearing aid works.
Main tasks:
- Designing the visual layer of web, mobile and desktop interfaces that follows user-centred design principles
- Designing accessible interfaces
- Visualising complex data graphically so that a non-expert user can understand it
- Working closely together with UX designers, product owners and developers to come up with best possible solutions
Requirements:
- A strong portfolio that showcases your visual design skills
- 3+ years of experience in the visual design field (web/mobile/desktop)
- Expert skills in Adobe CC applications
- Excellent sense of typography, colour theory, composition & hierarchy is a must
- Ability to graphically communicate complex concepts (data visualisation)
- Ability to create animations and dynamically changing visualisations
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles, trends, tools and patterns
- The ability to translate business and user requirements into visual design ideas and concepts
- Experience in working closely with UX designers, researchers, product owners, developers and other departments to execute as efficiently as possible
- Fluency in English
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards and sitemaps
- Ability to do quick and dirty sketches that illustrate an idea
- HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus (do not need to code, but to understand web design/technology)
- In addition, experience with embedded- and medical software and working experience in SCRUM teams would be an advantage (though it is not a mandatory requirement)
