Does an innovative work environment with an emphasis on collaborative knowledge sharing, team efforts and developing best in class hearing solutions motivate you? Is the thought of working in a large, growth-orientated company within the stable medico-technical industry appealing to you? Then you should join Demant Technology Centre with our designers and engineers, all committed to delivering our promise: To empower people to communicate freely, interact naturally and participate actively.

As a member of our Warsaw R&D team, you will work on the user interface and visuals for desktop, web and mobile apps. The software will focus on helping hearing care professionals and patients with hearing loss to better fit a hearing aid in order to lead a more comfortable life. You will be working closely with UX Designers, acoustics experts and developers in order to provide intuitive UI for the software as well as easy to understand visuals that explain how a hearing aid works.

Main tasks:

  • Designing the visual layer of web, mobile and desktop interfaces that follows user-centred design principles
  • Designing accessible interfaces
  • Visualising complex data graphically so that a non-expert user can understand it
  • Working closely together with UX designers, product owners and developers to come up with best possible solutions

  • A strong portfolio that showcases your visual design skills
  • 3+ years of experience in the visual design field (web/mobile/desktop)
  • Expert skills in Adobe CC applications
  • Excellent sense of typography, colour theory, composition & hierarchy is a must
  • Ability to graphically communicate complex concepts (data visualisation)
  • Ability to create animations and dynamically changing visualisations
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles, trends, tools and patterns
  • The ability to translate business and user requirements into visual design ideas and concepts
  • Experience in working closely with UX designers, researchers, product owners, developers and other departments to execute as efficiently as possible
  • Fluency in English

  • Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards and sitemaps
  • Ability to do quick and dirty sketches that illustrate an idea
  • HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus (do not need to code, but to understand web design/technology)
  • In addition, experience with embedded- and medical software and working experience in SCRUM teams would be an advantage (though it is not a mandatory requirement)

Your personal characteristic

You have a dynamic, ambitious and focused attitude. You are a solid team player who understands that success depends on mutual collaborative efforts, i.e. working and delivering as “one” team. If you prefer to hide behind your designs and come up with all solutions independently, then this role might not be for you. Rather, we expect you to be proactive in collecting needed information and sharing information, involving numerous stakeholders.

We dare to make a difference

Together with your talented colleagues who take pride in making a difference, you will have the opportunity to put your mark on tomorrow’s solutions. We are at the forefront of the latest technology, constantly working to improve hearing solutions for our users, so that we can strengthen and develop the business. You will be working in a growing international company, where there is a rich opportunity for professional and personal development. You will be part of a dynamic environment built on trust and openness, where you will find a strong will to win.

What we offer:

  • A chance to become a part of a new R&D site for a global healthcare company
  • Working alongside inspiring people – experts in their fields
  • Possibility to design apps and software that impact people’s lives directly
  • Full-time employment contract
  • Medical care
  • Competitive salary
