Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to act as lead for User Experience and Design and shape the future of how our users interact with our product, our brand representation and propose solutions that can enhance business needs and help excite the audience. 

The role
Our client is a financial technology company focused on cutting-edge research, analysis, trading and tools for sports betting as an alternative financial asset class. As company that represents the culmination of knowledge and expertise derived from a wealth of experience in the financial markets and sports betting industry our focus is to provide tools and data to allow investment fund managers and sophisticated investors to evaluate the performance and risk of sports bets and sports betting strategies as an alternative investment in a financial portfolio.

The role
You will define the interactivity and UX on a variety of products, proposing solutions that balance user needs with business goals and technical capabilities. You should be driven by finding out how and why people use products, and passionate about communicating these needs – proposing solutions to problems that excite and enthuse the audience to re-brand, re-design and re-launch our existing company website and the platform. 
The platform that we are building for data-driven sports betting participants serves Stratagem Technologies as part of our strategy to improve tools and content offered to increase general market sophistication. 
The new platform name will be “AdvantEdj” and our plan is to generalise the StatPlat platform for multiple other sports, including tennis, horse-racing, cricket and American sports, during the next 12 months. 
As a member of a small but growing team you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to business-critical software.
The position will initially be offered on a part-time contractor basis, with the possibility of a position as a Stratagem employee as projects dictate.

Your Profile Most of all you will take huge satisfaction from designing great software that meets users needs. You will enjoy the challenge of presenting complex concepts and ideas in a way that is intuitive and interactive. You will enjoy learning and will be comfortable communicating with developers who will implement your designs. Adopting best practices, such as LEAN development, will come naturally to you.

We think you should have:

• Some commercial UX Design or Creative Design experience working with complex data-driven applications
• Experience with data visualisations and analytics
• Experience as part of the full end-to-end software cycle
• Experience in Website / Graphic Design
• A portfolio of previous projects that showcase your work
• Be customer focused and dedicated to ensuring a high quality of service
• Precise and high attention to detail
• Must be commercially minded as well as editorially aware
• Must be passionate about uses of design/information architecture/usability/accessibility.
• Disciplined yet flexible enough to work in matrix situations
• Have good project management skills
• Be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.

It would be great if you had

• Experience with sports betting concepts and projects
