Overall Objective

We are actively looking for a talented UX Designer who also has UI design skills to work on interface design across our platform and mobile applications, including our flagship products. You would contribute your ideas through all phases, from idea & strategy through design, deployment and operations, while working in a fast-paced, agile environment. You should have an excellent eye for design with a portfolio to match.

The UX Developer will report to the Chief Digital Officer and the Senior Director of Development and interact regularly with other team members as well as external clients. The right candidate should be self-sufficient and be capable of rolling their sleeves up to deliver a best in class platform.

Skills Required

• Excellent conceptual and big-picture design skills including: user experience architecture, information architecture
• Strong interaction and information design skills
• Comfort representing abstract concepts visually with workflows, wireframes, site maps, concept diagrams
• An eye for aesthetic design – including layout, typography, colour, animation
• Strong familiarity with Web 2.0 design patterns and UI toolkits
• Fluent in a range of design tools
• Strong attention to detail. Capable of meeting the highest standards of quality in workmanship
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The ability to write clear copy in user interfaces.
• Ability to conduct user research to discern user needs (SSNiFs)
• Ability to conduct usability testing of designs
• Experience designing mobile products
• Good command of English

Skills Desired

• Experience designing consumer-grade products
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery

Experience Required

3+ years of UX design experience for software / web applications / consumer electronics and/or mobile devices.
