As a Senior UX/UI Designer you will be responsible for helping to realise the vision for our portfolio of Learning technology products. You will be responsible for leading and communicating the user experience of our products, from producing prototypes to test your assumptions, to visual designs that will engage end users and ensuring that the development maintain high design standards throughout implementation. This role requires an understanding of how to design software that is not just functional but considers its role in the broader customer experience.Work with the Product Analyst to explore customer and end user insights, identifying opportunities to improve the products and meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Head of Product to define and communicate the overall UX vision for the products
• Work with the Product Analyst to explore customer and end user insights, identifying opportunities to improve the products and meet business requirements
• Develop key design patterns and a visual style guide to be followed in future development
• Define and communicate detailed designs as required to support development teams, including specifications for interaction and visual design where necessary
• Prioritise the work required to support development of multiple products simultaneously
• Collaborate with product & development teams to find solutions to the challenges that are identified during product development
• Work as a member of the wider learning business unit to explore new ideas and drive innovation through design

Requirements and the individual

Must have

• Commercial experience with software design in roles combining UX and UI
• Strong visual and interaction design portfolio (to be submitted with CV)
• Strong written and spoken English – communicating with technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience designing responsive web applications aimed at business and consumer audiences
• Ability to constructively manage stakeholder feedback and manage refinements during the design process
• Desire to learn and encourage the learning of others
• Knowledge of design tools including Adobe Photoshop
• Knowledge of AXURE to build interactive prototypes
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS

Nice to have

• Experience designing native mobile applications
• Experience leading on transformative design projects
• Understanding of role of Learning & Development within organisations
