Position Summary
As an Experience Designer, you’re more than an advocate for the user – you have a vision for what a truly great experience can be. You’ll identify customer needs and behaviors and intersect with business goals to create products that are intuitive, effective and impactful. You are innovative, know what’s happening in the digital space, and can take your client’s project to the next level. You’re a skilled UX designer, expert at taking complex requirements and translating them into clear, tangible solutions that extend across various platforms and devices.

What you’ll do
- Work collaboratively with our business development team to make client strategy actionable
- Prepare research, map customer journeys, and design desirable and feasible solutions for complex products and services
- Apply user centered design methodologies to ensure your ideas are based on customer needs
- Use narration and storytelling to communicate the product’s vision and bring ideas to life both verbally and visually
- Utilize industry standards and best practices to define and implement design criteria, design guidelines
- Develop concepts, wireframes, and construct quick interactive prototypes to illustrate UX/UI design
- Participate in defining requirements and creating specs
- Coordinate user testing, communicate findings and incorporate iteratively into the design
- Work collaboratively with the client and team to define digital branding and identity
- Work closely with the Dev and QA team on perfecting the product
- Foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients
What you’ll need
- 2+ years of relevant experience in designing user experiences and building products; experience in a startup, tech company and/or agile environment is a plus
- Embody a human-centered approach to design; from research and insight generation to concept to deliverable
- Experience in understanding business strategy and how to impact it
- Have performed in a lead UX/UI Designer role working with external clients
- Understanding of UX design best practices and desire to stay well-versed in new technology and considerations
- Rock the visual design software – we prefer Sketch, but we can work with (and offer) Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Excellent knowledge of prototyping tools such as Invision or UXPin
- Can demonstrate skills in a professional portfolio
- You might know a little programming: HTML/CSS would be a plus
- Familiar with agile/scrum methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to work in a manner that is business-value-driven & efficient
- Must be able to work independently, make your own decisions and deliver finished products on time.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally
- Business fluent in English
