StepStone is growing! In order to maintain our position as the best online jobsite, we are expanding our usability department with one Usability Expert. The candidate must be a strategic, independent, self-motivated, creative professional, capable of adapting quickly to a fast-paced environment.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Create the user interaction model, workflows, information architecture, schematics, and interface guidelines/specifications;
• Working with designers to apply user-centered design processes to create high quality user experiences ;
• User experience interviews and user experience testing;
• Success metrics reporting ;
• – Performing customer interviews, a/b testing, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery

You will be reporting into the Usability Manager

Your profile

• You have at least 2 years of experience in usability related work function;
• You are able to understand customer needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into actionable deliverables;
• You are detail-oriented and have highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
• You are a self-starter who will bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project;
• You have Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to Web-based applications;
• Demonstrated experience using web analytics data to inform design decisions, preferably Omniture SiteCatalyst and Omniture Test and Target;
• You have strong self-management skills as well as ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-discipline and international team;
• You are able to collaborate with other designers and developers to envision and iterate concepts
• You have advanced proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Visio
• BS/BA in Design, usability or related degree preferred.
